About

My name is Andrew Jackson (you probably realised that already) (and when I'm writing, I do tend to go off on plenty of tangents...(so expect to see lots of brackets...).

In my life I'm inspired by iconic design (I love VW camper vans & Leica cameras – great designs that stand the test of time), the light & shade of the English landscape (Christchurch’s beach huts and Cornwall’s coast line are my spiritual home) and the sheer joy of excellence in simplicity (an extraordinary glass of sauvignon blanc, perfectly prepared fish & chips or even a few lazy moments stolen in an independent coffee house (coffee & walnut cake being the accompaniment of choice!). I love all things French and harbour dreams of buying a house there if my lottery ticket ever comes up – one for the future perhaps!

As a celebrant, I am inspired by the landscape and the natural cycle of life; the landscape and the seasons both connect strongly to my writing. As a 'Green Fuse' celebrant I am trained in public speaking and performance as well as in creating ceremonies with meaning. Passionate about words, music and poetry, I bring a gentle formality to my ceremonies to create a very personal celebration of life.

I am married (to Saskia), have lived in the Bristol & Bath area for most of my life and before becoming a celebrant worked in the creative arts as a photographer (unless otherwise credited, all the images used on the site are my own). I am available to conduct ceremonies in Bristol, Bath, Somerset and the surrounding area.

“We can't thank you enough for today, I especially knew that the further the service went on that it was what we had intended for Mum all along...indeed the service was all that we hoped for and more. Be assured that your efforts were dearly appreciated by us all.”
