As a funeral celebrant, I wish more ceremonies could be conducted at home. Saying goodbye in such an intimate space is an incredibly moving experience, so if anyone has questions about how this works in practice, do please ask.
I also enjoyed the article about the crematorium attendants. With one exception I have only been impressed with the care and consideration shown by the crematorium staff I have worked with. And locally, it makes little difference if its a private or council run service - the team are so helpful. The majority of my ceremonies are conducted at Haycombe (Bath) and Semington (West Wilts) and both are first class. Anyway, 'More to Death' and do look up the Natural Death's website if you would like to support this wonderful organisation. As with all these posts, do ask if it raises any questions...
